Sandy's father (Howard) and his wife (Pam) are arranging for a bench to be decorated and placed in Doyle Park in her memory. It is being commissioned through ArtStart and is likely to feature themes that we all associate with our friend -- animals and the color purple.

About Dogs for Sandy
The legacy of Sandy Simpson will remain a powerful force in the community at the Doyle Dog Park in Santa Rosa. Her pack included Shiloh, Dude and Little Bit. Each has a harrowing rescue story that’s incongruous with how happy and well adjusted they are now. Invariably, there was a 4th in Sandy’s pack – a new foster dog with “issues” that needed to be resolved to make them adoptable. Sandy’s loving care and teaching from her pack helped countless dogs find new lives in good homes.
Independent and strong, Sandy gradually let us help her when her breast cancer recurred. And in so doing, she gave us the opportunity to become a connected community that has grown to support, celebrate, mourn -- and remember -- together.
